Why we may not see Lukhanyo Am this World Cup

Because of this, Am may not participate in this World Cup.The performance of Lukhanyo Am during this World Cup cycle has been nothing short of extraordinary. He was mentioned as a possible World Player of the Year candidate. In the lead-up to the Rugby World Cup, during the 24-13 victory against Argentina in Buenos Aires on August 5, he had a knee injury that prevented him from being included on the Springboks World Cup roster. Am was most recently called up to replace Mapimipi, who broke his face in South Africa’s 49-18 victory over Tonga, due to an injury. Am has not yet played a single minute of rugby in the World Cup since being called up; perhaps this was never intended.

JESSE KRIEL’S IMPROVEMENT

Jesse Kriel’s comeback, who has emerged as an unlikely hero, has been one of the World Cup’s most incredible stories. Kriel’s exceptional performance has silenced his detractors. His outstanding performance, especially against France in the quarterfinal, emphasized his outstanding efforts. With a superbly timed kick, he actively contributed to Cheslin Kolbe’s try, and the entire game, he made some of the best defensive reads.

AM’S MENTORSHIP

Lukhanyo Am was recalled to the team to serve as a mentor to Jesse Kriel and the entire Springbok team in addition to serving as a backup for the number 13 position. Marx has improved Libbok’s game similarly to how Pollard improved after being called up for an injury, and the two appear to be cooperating for the benefit of the team. Although Jesse has been in excellent shape, the presence of Lukhanyo Am may have helped him perform even better. As a fellow number 13, Am may have inspired Jesse through healthy competition or provided useful advice.

Was Lukhanyo Am ever expected to play in this World Cup, or was he picked up for a reason other than his playing abilities? The Boks have announced their starting lineup for their semifinal match, and Lukhanyo Am has once again been left out. Tell us in the comments section below.
