The club has been given a whole new lease of life with the arrival of former Celtic and Australia national team manager Ange Postecoglou in north London. Supporters will be excited to watch their recently exciting team play again when Spurs return to action on Monday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Fulham. As of right now, the Lilywhites are atop the Premier League standings, having gone undefeated for eight games and enjoying their greatest start to a season since 1960–1961.

There was genuine concern that Spurs would struggle without the star striker and all-time leading goalscorer Harry Kane, who left to join Bayern Munich for an estimated £82 million, according to club president Uli Hoeness. On the other hand, Tottenham has completely reversed course and reinvented themselves under the highly successful Postecoglou. Speaking to the media lately, Kane himself showered his former team with accolades for their incredible early-season run of form.

At a press conference with England, he stated, “I have made it clear my whole career I am a Tottenham fan and I would love to see Tottenham do well” (via 90min).

Although everything at N17 seems to be going well right now, a recent report suggests that Kane might not be the only prominent Spurs player leaving shortly.

This week, a report from France suggested that veteran goalie Hugo Lloris would retire in January. RMC Sport has shared a transfer update about Lloris’s future at Tottenham, stating that the team is “considering” his departure during the winter window.

The 36-year-old’s contract is slated to end in the summer of next year, although Spurs may decide to shorten his last year in north London. The player hasn’t played a minute under Postecoglou in any league. This is true even if Lloris seems content to be training with the team at the moment.

Since coming from Lyon in 2012, the legendary player for France, dubbed “exemplary” by Les Bleus manager Didier Deschamps, has made almost 444 appearances across all competitions (Transfermarkt).
