The five largest population centres in the country – Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Soweto, and Pretoria – have been given priority to provide the maximum number of people with the opportunity to welcome the team.

The Springboks’ Trophy Tour after winning the World Cup begins on Thursday in Johannesburg, Soweto, and Pretoria. Soon, more information will be available on SA Rugby’s digital channels.
However, there have been some complaints that some areas aren’t able to see the World Cup trophy paraded by the Springboks.
.. The goal of the tour, according to SA Rugby president Mark Alexander, was to contact as many people as possible in the short amount of time before the team disperses.
To allow as many people as possible to welcome the team, the five biggest population centers in the nation—Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Soweto, and Pretoria—have been given precedence.
Alexander pointed out that another major Springbok event is scheduled for the metropole in 2024, while exact details are still pending, in reference to the decision to host the event in Buffalo City rather than Nelson Mandela Bay.
Alexander stated: “After 21 weeks of intense competition since the start of the Castle Lager Rugby Championship, the players’ club commitments necessitate their swift return or immediate rehabilitation.”There are plans for satellite trips to other major cities in the Free State, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Northern Cape, among other regions. The schedule will depend on the commitments made by the players to their clubs.
Time limits made it difficult to visit every town and city, but we are optimistic that with our decisions and continued preparation, we will eventually be able to see every province’s key population centers. We have four more years to hold the Cup, so there’s plenty of time for that.
