The Springbok veteran who is setting the pace at his new club

Willie le Roux, a 34-year-old Springboks veteran, has made an immediate impression on the Bulls camp with his level of conditioning.
Le Roux signed with Toyota Verblitz prior to the Rugby World Cup and started training with the Bulls this week. Other World Cup winners Kurt-Lee Arendse, Canan Moodie, and Marco van Staden joined him.
Builds confidence
Electric center Stedman Gans acknowledges that training has improved since the Springboks have returned to camp, with Le Roux setting the bar following a productive sabbatical from the field.
Gans remarked, “We are so glad to have them back.” They bring a tonne of excitement and experience. I believe that some of them might also be participating this coming weekend. Having players of that caliber back on the club just increases their confidence.
Gans laughed and remarked, “Willie has been running the fastest at training this week.” The lads returning from the trip are still experiencing some jet lag. Willie is new and has been surpassing us because he has been in South Africa.
Push for starting spots
The Bulls have a deep roster, which makes competition for a starting position tough. Gans is aware that, in light of the Springboks’ comeback, he must perform to the highest standard to merit his place.
“With the squad we have, it’s been very difficult to make the team for the weekend since the beginning of the season,” Gans remarked. “Every day you have to give it your all.
Gans continued, “My attention has always been on my own performance.” “Therefore, I don’t always consider who is on the squad and vying for the same spot.
“I simply think that coaches would inform you and choose you if you perform well enough when I have the chance to perform in a game or during training. They will advise you on what to work on if it isn’t.
The Bulls, who are hoping to build on a respectable season opening, will play their next three games at home in all competitions.
