Four-star commit Jacob Oden ready for unique role at Michigan

One of the longest tenured commitments in Michigan’s recruiting class has been Harper Woods (Mich.) 2024 four-star safety Jacob Oden.

The local 6-foot-1, 190-pounder has been a verbal pledge to the hometown Wolverines for months and over time has only become more ready to suit up for the Maize and Blue next season.

Oden and his family welcomed head coach Jim Harbaugh, defensive coordinator Jesse Minter and safeties coach Jay Harbaugh for an in-home visit on Tuesday night.

Colston Loveland helping sell Michigan to top WR prospect

Colston Loveland is putting a good word in for Michigan with Idaho WR Gatlin Bair.

A top-50 prospect in the class of 2024, Gatlin Bair has resumed recruiting, and the Michigan Wolverines are believed to be strong candidates to select the gifted wide receiver.

When the Burley, Idaho, speedster committed to Boise State in August 2023, the Wolverines were among his final five options. However, Bair decided to reopen his commitment four months later due to a coaching change at the Mountain West program, and U-M is a major consideration.

When Gatlin Bair went to Michigan to see the Ohio State game, he witnessed the Wolverines win the Big Ten East for the third consecutive year in front of a record-breaking TV audience and 110,000 in-person supporters. Additionally, as tight end Colston Loveland demonstrates, U-M has a history of developing Idaho prospects into major contributors.
