Desmond Howard SLAMS ESPN’S Pete Thamel on ESPN at Michigan over Jim…….

Prior to Michigan vs. Ohio State, Desmond Howard criticizes Pete Thamel, his colleague on ESPN College GameDay.

Pete Thamel is a people’s man. Every week on ESPN’s classic show “College GameDay,” the insider from ESPN habitually goes into the crowd to report on the latest events in the world of college football.

Nonetheless, in the last several weeks, things have evolved. The Michigan sign-stealing controversy hasn’t stopped taking over the media. And it has put a large number of Big Blue supporters, many of whom think the idea that the Wolverines cheated is, at best, tenuous, against ESPN’s most well-known personality, Thamel, who is also a professional and credentialed journalist.

The confusion surrounding the meaning and reality of what transpired has engulfed college football. It hit new, and even more contentious, heights on Saturday.

“College GameDay” made a comeback to the Big House on Saturday in order to promote The Game, which is Michigan vs. Ohio State. Instead of reporting from his typical location in the concourses, Thamel chose to report from inside Michigan Stadium, where he was reportedly the target of “some threats” of violence, according to ESPN’s Rece Davis.
