Alabama safety Jaylen Key leaves LSU game with injury in first quarter
Against LSU, Alabama might already be down a defensive back in the early going. After a play, Safety Jaylen Key went down and was finally assisted by trainers off the field. The defensive back was seen entering the medical tent in the SEC broadcast.
Charlie Potter of On3’s BOL believed Key was grabbing after his left thigh during the play, despite the fact that an official injury diagnosis has not yet been made.
Potter remarked through X, “Jaylen Key stays down and is grabbing his left thigh.” “Trainers approached him to see how he was doing, and he cautiously leaves on his own.”
Over the past several weeks, Key has been a crucial component of the Alabama secondary.
Using the NCAA transfer portal to enroll in the program, it takes many weeks to become settled in. Playing at safety next to true freshman Caleb Downs was him.
Key’s immediate substitute was Kristian Story, but Alabama is hoping he can return to the field. It might be encouraging that he left the field on his own initiative and might be returning to the game.
