Following the Auburn Tigers’ embarrassing loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, Sam Acho was at a loss for words.

On fourth down and 31, Jalen Milroe found Isaiah Bond in the end zone with a throw. The Tide won 27-24 as a result of the score.

Acho said he was “almost speechless” when questioned about his feelings about the match.

Acho clarified that he was at a loss for words after Auburn’s late-game performance.

“Not just because of that play, but also because of the muffed point following a fantastic stop by your defense,” Acho clarified.

On third and 20, the Tide gained 19 yards, then on fourth and 1, they converted. The Tide then had to deal with a third-and-goal from the 26. Jalen Milroe’s penalty gave the Tide a fourth and goal from the thirty-one.

“Just three guys rushed at it,” Acho clarified. Thus, you have seven or eight guys providing coverage. All those receivers ought to have been double-teamed, but they weren’t.

With an 11-1 record at the end of the regular season, the Tide will take on the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship. Hugh Freeze’s first season as head coach of the Tigers will conclude with a 6-6 record and a trip to a postseason game.
