Nicolas Kuhn sends message to Celtic fans after making his debut against Ross County
Nicolas Kuhn was introduced to the Celtic crowd for the first time on Saturday as the Hoops recorded a dogged 1-0 win over Ross County.
It wasn’t the best of performances from Brendan Rodgers’ side, who after a first-minute goal from Alistair Johnston, thought they were going to be in for a day of dominance.
If Luis Palma had put away his missed penalty (including the re-taken one), then things probably would have been a lot different for Celtic.
But it wasn’t meant to be, and what has been a frustrating January transfer window for the team, translated itself out on the pitch from the players.
One massive positive from the match was the debut of the only January signing so far, Nicolas Kuhn.
The 24-year-old was introduced into the action by Brendan Rodgers just after the hour mark and showcased his versatility straight away.
The German started on the left flank, before pushing to the right. It wouldn’t be a surprise if that’s where he plays in the long run.
Nonetheless, this was the message Nicolas Kuhn posted on his Instagram story to the fans after making his Celtic debut.

“First minutes in Paradise,” said Kuhn, added with an image of him entering the pitch for Palma. “Thanks for the warm welcome. +3.”
Celtic toothless going forward
The hope was that the winter break, and new possible January additions, would elevate the team’s performances after an indifferent start.
But the fact of the matter is that yesterday’s performance mirrored what the team has produced under Rodgers this season.
Yes, when you go from a fast-paced and 100-miles-per-hour style of Ange Postecoglou to a more controlled and laid-back approach of Rodgers, then it’s going to feel like everything has slowed down.
But it still shouldn’t be an excuse for the team’s inability to break down the lesser sides of the division because this has been a major issue this season.
