Chris Sutton Expresses Doubts Over Celtic’s Potential Signing of Adam Idah

Former striker for both Norwich City and Celtic, Chris Sutton, has expressed doubts about Celtic’s chances of signing Adam Idah. Sutton has shared his thoughts on the potential trade of Adam Idah from Norwich to Celtic.

The commentator of today is still well-versed on Norwich City’s roster, having written numerous pieces about the team that launched his career.
On Tuesday night, rumors circulated that Celtic was very close to signing Norwich forward and Republic of Ireland international Idah on a loan.
Sutton posted on social networking platform X about his misgivings on the transfer. “If this is true, I’m not sure that’s an upgrade on Oh,” he said, speaking with all due respect. Idah needs to leave Norwich. He has promise, but it’s potential that he’s had for years; he’s still very much in the developing stage and far from the final product.
Simply put, Celtics supporters weren’t informed to anticipate anything during the January window. The goal of Brendan Rodgers was to infuse the team with genuine quality.
Sutton doesn’t think Idah is an obvious improvement over Oh, who is now playing in the Asian Cup, therefore fans won’t be sold on the possible loan.
Although it appears that a deal will be reached, it is clear that Idah is not one of the three or four “quality” players that Celtic was promised.
