As you may remember, on Friday the Blue Jays designated veteran prospect Otto López for assignment. The 25-year-old utility man was traded by the Blue Jays to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for cash.

 

Once regarded as one of the organization’s top ten prospects, López had a poor 2023 season in Triple-A, hitting just.258/.313/.343 with two home runs in 346 plate appearances, 6.6 BB%, and 15.9 K%. This was a notable decline from his 2022
