Anunoby, who was first acquired by the Knicks from the Toronto Raptors, has had a significant impact on the squad and has helped them to an outstanding 12-2 record while starting. Anunoby, who is well-known for his defensive abilities, has averaged 15.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game in 14 games for the Knicks this season. The team is now 33-22.

Anunoby, who makes $18.6 million this season, will have to make a big decision about his future this summer. If he chooses not to exercise his $19.9 million player option for the 2024–25 season, he may choose to enter unrestricted free agency. According to NBA expert Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, Anunoby may think about changing his contract to stay with the Knicks, who are now in fourth place.
