WINCHESTER — A Portland woman was killed Tuesday morning after her SUV crossed the center line of U.S. 27 and slammed head-on with a semi-trailer north of Winchester.

Lindsay M. Wenk, 27, was pronounced dead on the scene by Randolph County Coroner Tim Crawford.

According to Randolph County Sheriff Ken Hendrickson, Wenk’s 2002 Envoy was traveling north on the federal highway south of Randolph County Road 225-N when it collided with a southbound semi driven by Marcus D. Love, 40, Decatur.
