Curry Family Royalty On Display As Warriors Beat Hornets

I wonder whether Dell Curry ever gets tired of seeing his two boys, Stephen and Seth, compete on the basketball floor. He had the chance to watch his boys perform once more last night as Steph’s Golden State Warriors defeated Seth’s Charlotte Hornets 97-84.

As Charlotte’s analyst during the game, Dell took to the mic to offer his thoughts while his children performed on the national platform:

As a substitute, Seth scored 6 points in 25 minutes, while Steph finished the game with 15 points on 5-of-14 shooting from the field.

Dell has close familial ties to both the team and the city. During his ten seasons with the Hornets from 1989 to 1998, Dell was a fantastic player who won Sixth Man of the Year in 1994. His superb three-point shooting allowed him to create instant offense most of the time when he came off the bench. In terms of points, games played, three-point field goals made and attempted, and three-point field goal percentage, Curry is among the Hornets’ all-time leaders.

Growing up in Charlotte, both Steph and Seth wear the number 30 in memory of their father. The older brother says the Hornets are the only team he would consider playing for after the Warriors.

Seth, his younger brother, has already made that a reality by being traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Hornets.
