Tom Telesco Speaks About RB Josh Jacobs Exclusion From 2024 Roaster
San Diego, CA – In a recent press conference, Tom Telesco, the General Manager of the San Diego Chargers, addressed the recent controversy surrounding the exclusion of running back Josh Jacobs from the 2024 Pro Bowl roster.
Telesco began by acknowledging the exceptional talent of Jacobs and emphasizing the high regard in which he is held within the Chargers organization. He stated, “Josh is an integral part of our team and has been an outstanding player for us. His contributions to our success cannot be understated.”
However, Telesco went on to explain that the decision to exclude Jacobs from the Pro Bowl roster was not solely based on individual performance. He noted that the Pro Bowl is an opportunity to showcase the depth and talent of the league as a whole, and that tough decisions have to be made when selecting the roster.
Telesco emphasized that the Chargers have a deep roster, and that the selection process is competitive. He stated, “Josh is undoubtedly one of the best running backs in the league, but there are many factors that go into the selection process. In this case, other players were chosen to represent the AFC at the running back position.”
He concluded by expressing his support for Jacobs and the Chargers’ commitment to him, stating, “We believe in Josh and are confident in his abilities. He is a vital part of our team, and we look forward to seeing him continue to excel in the seasons to come.”
