UPDATE:I’m Sorry’- Pochettino Makes Emotional Plea To Chelsea Fans Ahead Of FA Cup

“I apologize,” Pochettino says in an emotional plea to Chelsea supporters.

In the moments before Chelsea’s FA Cup match against Leeds United this evening, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino made an impassioned plea to Chelsea supporters.

The Argentine is aware that this will be a really difficult game against a squad that is playing well and will have a boisterous and enthusiastic fan base tonight.

After missing a fantastic chance to win a domestic trophy against Liverpool on Sunday, it feels like Pochettino and Chelsea’s future are riding high on this game. He and the players desperately need to win tonight to maintain some hope of a domestic trophy.

He apologizes for having to urge the crowd to support the players and asks them to be loud tonight. He is pleading with them for their assistance once more.

Pochettino stated, as reported by The Evening Standard: “I know our fans are disappointed, but we need their support. Sorry to bother you again, but I know this will be a hard game, and Leeds will be vying for 5,000 spectators, so it is crucial to generate a great atmosphere.
